The Henry’s CK78II Kal-El is a hybrid nylon-string electric guitar for players who want a modern voice with standout style. The TL-shaped body is built from solid okoume with a spruce top: the okoume gives a warm, resonant tone with an inviting midrange, while the spruce adds brightness and clarity so the sound still cuts through a band. Despite the solid construction it weighs just 2.64 kg — comfortable through long rehearsals and gigs.
The neck is roasted Canadian maple with a C profile and a laurel fingerboard, fitted with jumbo stainless steel frets that resist wear and denting. A new tapered neck joint lets your hand glide into the upper frets, so solos and high-register playing feel natural — rarely the case on a nylon-string instrument.
The active HN78 piezo with built-in preamp sends a strong, clear, balanced signal straight into an amp, mixer or PA. A 6.3 mm jack handles amplification, and a 3.5 mm headphone output lets you practise silently anywhere, without disturbing anyone.
Ideal for the electric player who wants access to a nylon voice without leaving their comfort zone, and for the classical player who needs a dependable amplified instrument for the stage. Gloss purple finish, black hardware, 45 mm ox bone nut, 650 mm scale, 12″ radius, 22 frets.
Gig bag included. Ships with a luthier setup. Available at Samouelian Musical Instruments in Monastiraki.
