The Prodigy Silver Plate Purple 0.10 set is made for the 3-course (6-string) bouzouki, tuned D-A-D, and also suits the tzouras.
The silver-plated strings deliver a clear, bright tone with good response when playing with a pick. The 0.10 gauge is lighter than the more common 0.11, offering a more comfortable fretting feel and lower tension under the fingers. The wound low D is tuned an octave below the other strings, adding depth to the sound.
Set contents (gauges, w = wound string):
- D (Re): 0.10 and 0.22w
- A (La): 0.13 and 0.13
- D (Re): 0.10 and 0.10
