NUX NOD-2 Tube Man MKII Overdrive

The NUX NOD-2 Tube Man MKII is a mini overdrive pedal aimed at a more genuine tube-like character. Classic tube screamer pedals relied on an op-amp circuit that distorts through diode clipping. NUX opted instead for an FET transistor system, which produces overdrive and distortion closer to the behaviour of a real tube amp.

The FET brings out harmonic content and breaks the distortion into a finer grit, the way a tube does. Leads sing richer and longer, rhythm playing stays open and expressive, and the clarity cuts through a dense mix without losing midrange weight.
